Hypnobirthing Australia's™ Positive Birth Program is a modern, evidence based approach to childbirth education built upon wisdom, philosophies and practices passed down throughout history. We aim to help women and their birth partners achieve a positive and empowered labour and birth experience. Hypnobirthing harnesses the use of deep relaxation, positivity, accupressure, self-hypnosis, breathing techniques and more! It provides couples with the necessary knowledge to understand what happens to the body, hormones and brain whilst in labour. We also cover what do in labour, how to know you’re in labour, when to go to hospital, your options whilst in labour and even what to do in an accidental car or home birth! Hypnobirthing prepares you for any birth outcome! In fact, many women have found that they can use what they learnt in their classes to help with other challenging situations in life and have found their hypnobubs to also be very calm at birth and even after birth.
As part of the course there are videos of hypnobirths in action where you can practically feel the sense of calm and control in the room. Partners feel like they have a role and purpose in the birthing process as they too are given important tools and knowledge to help provide support and advocate for the labouring and birthing woman.
Armed with the right tools, knowledge, support and preparation, I believe every woman and birth partner can enjoy a positive, empowered and beautiful birth experience!

I am a mother, Registered Nurse & Midwife with 10+ years’ experience in my professions and have loved everything about my job including meeting new people and making a positive difference in their lives.
I have always had a particular love for women’s health and childbirth but I must have always had a calling towards education. Classmates used to tell me “you’d make a great teacher Dahlia”. Well, they were right! Here I am now, a passionate Child birth educator and lactation consultant in training!
As the eldest of 5 children, a midwife and mother of two and having witnessed and experienced such wonderful labours and births, I know the importance of feeling positive about pregnancy, labour, birth and the postnatal period!
Drawing on years of techniques & philosophies, current evidence-based research, advice and effective relaxation techniques, mothers, partners and their babies can all benefit from the hypnobirthing approach to childbirth and my own personal and professional experiences and knowledge about those first precious month that follow.
It is my mission and absolute privilege to help equip women and their birth partners with the knowledge, tools and support to feel prepared for a calm, empowered, safe and positive birth experience no matter what turn their journey may take.
Book a class online now and I look forward to meeting you!

"I wish someone would have told me..."
Often one of the most common phrases new parents can be heard saying in those equally chaotic, exciting and important first few months of parenthood. But, whether you are having your first, second, third or consecutive baby, good emotional, mental health and physical support is usually the most effective solution to helping parents build confidence and find their feet!
With my Postnatal Support Program, not only do I help you navigate the challenges of breastfeeding, settling baby and transitioning from the hospital (if that is where you birthed). I also am there for you as a shoulder to cry on, a friend when all yours are busy or at work, I can babysit, perform light-touch massage, teach you relaxation techniques amongst many, many more supportive tools that I have to offer.
If you feel you could do with extra support that you can't find in family or friends for whatever reason, armed with valuable tools and techniques from personal experiences as a mother, midwife, night nanny and childbirth educator, I am here for you to help make your transition into parenthood smoother and easier!
